Pajala Municipality is looking for a Staffing Manager

We are looking for a Staffing Manager.

The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Staffing Unit is part of the municipality's HR department and is a central function for planning and recruiting substitutes when the need arises in Pajala Municipality's operations. The Staffing Unit's tasks are:

  • Coordinate and streamline substitute planning
  • Ensure competence and continuity during absences in the operations as far as possible.
  • You are responsible for the administrative work and salary setting of staff linked to the Staffing Unit.
  • You are involved in monitoring substitutes, new recruitments, and employment contracts.
  • You monitor preferential rights according to LAS
  • Conduct parts of the introductory training
  • Coordinate placements of new substitutes in the operations.
  • Participation in recruitment fairs may occur.
  • You will have contact with managers, substitutes, and other employees in the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education in personnel, administration, or relevant high school education combined with longer experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • You have experience in scheduling or experience in 24-hour operations.
  • You have very good computer skills, preferably from personnel and time planning systems.
  • It is a plus if you also have experience with the payroll system Personec P.
  • It is advantageous if you have previously worked with staffing issues, preferably in the Time Care Pool system.
  • We also see that you are good at building relationships and creating trust.
  • To succeed in your role, you need to be proactive and service-oriented and see opportunities for development based on the needs of the operations.
  • We place great importance on personal suitability. The role requires you to have a solution-focused approach and the ability to structure and plan, and to be comfortable in a dynamic and varied environment.
  • The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made.

Pajala Municipality is part of the administrative area for Meänkieli and Finnish, so it is advantageous if you have knowledge of either or both of these languages.
